A disciplinary panel of judges has approved the resignation of a Russian judge who apparently fell asleep during a court hearing. The girls were jumped by a mob of high school students in Astoria and the fight was all caught on video. Cellphone cameras were rolling as a wild mob scene broke out in Astoria Park on Friday. Stuck in the middle was 14-year-old Samatha Gonzalez, seen on the video in a black and white striped shirt. The honor student said she was badly beaten while trying to defend her friend Christina Campos, who was getting punched and kicked by more than a dozen high school students.

On Saturday, 4/27/13 at or about 5:05AM, the victim was walking in the 1900 block of Burgundy when he was approached by an unknown black male. The subject pointed a shotgun at the victim's face and stated give me your money. The victim disarmed the gunman and then chased him. Moments later the victim was approached by two black males in a black four door sedan (possibly a Honda Accord). The driver of the vehicle said to the victim "give me my gun back and I'll give you your phone that you dropped". The victim then used the shotgun to strike the rear windshield of the vehicle causing it to break. The two subjects then fled on Frenchmen to St. Claude and then unknown. The gunman was described as a black male, approximately 16-20 years of age, 6'00" tall with a thin build wearing a black hat and a black t-shirt. A similar incident occurred on Friday, April 26, 2013, at or about 12:30am in the 800 block of Touro Street, right around the corner from the aforementioned robbery. In that incident the victim was walking in the 800 block of Touro when he was approached by two unknown young black males. One of the subjects pointed a shotgun at the victim and demanded his property. The subjects then struck the victim three times. The victim fled the scene without relinquishing his property. The victim sustained minor injuries. The victim described the gunman as a young black males and being approximately 5'8" -5'10" tall with a dark complexion and medium build wearing dark clothing. The victim described the second subject as being a young black male, approximately 5'6" tall with a medium build, bushy hair and wearing a light shirt. It was taken to the hospital after its death. The news about such a baby being brought to the hospital spread like wildfire and there were hundreds gathered at the hospital to have a look. The police had to be deployed to control the crowd. The baby weighed 2kg at birth and was born after the normal nine-month gestation period. 1. Muri Kinez mund të shihet nga Hëna: nëse ndodheni në Hënë mund të shihni shumë gjëra por Muri Kinez nuk është njëri prej tyre. Në librin e titulluar “Second Book of Marvels” botuar në vitin 1983 autori Richard Haliburton deklaroi se Muri Kinez është e vetmja vepër njerëzore e cila mund të shihet nga Hëna. Muri Kinez ka një gjerësi maksimale prej 10 metër dhe të njëjtën ngjyrë me mjedisin përreth, kështu shikimi i tij me sy të lirë është i pamundur jo vetëm nga Hëna por edhe nga sateliti. 2. Kosi nuk konsumohet me peshk: përkundrazi nëse peshku është i freskët nuk ka asnjë pengesë të hahet me kos. Shkaku i helmimit nuk është kosi por proteina “Histamin” e gjendur tek peshku. Meqë kjo lëndë gjendet edhe tek kosi, kur konsumohet bashkë me peshkun mund të shtojë sasinë e Histaminës në trup. Kështu tek personat që janë alergjikë mund të shkaktojë skuqje ose kruarje. Nëse jeni të sigurt për freskinë e peshkut mund ta konsumoni atë me kos pa pasur frikë. 3. Ylberi ka shtatë ngjyra: ngjyra e kuqe, portokalli, e verdhë, bojë qielli, blu dhe vjollcë njihen si ngjyrat e ylberit. Ç’ është e vërteta në ylber ekziston një spektër i pandërprerë ngjyrash por perceptimi njerëzor rreth ngjyrave krijon një keqkuptim në shikimin e një brezi të vetëm ngjyrash. Disa ylbere përmbajnë më shumë breza se 7 brezat që mund të shohë syri i njeriut. 4. Kulla Piza është ndërtuar e shtrembër: kjo kullë e famshme e italianëve në të vërtetë është projektuar të ndërtohet drejt. Por për shkak të bazamentit të butë ka filluar të rrëshqasë drejt jugut që nga viti i ndërtimit 1173. 5. Uji është transparent (i tejdukshëm): arsyeja e ngjyrës bojë qielli të detit është pasqyrimi i qiellit në det. Uji ka një ngjyrë të zbehtë bojë qielli. Por edhe qielli ndikon në theksimin e ngjyrës së detit. 6. Fluturat kanë një ditë jetë: disa flutura të rritura mund të jetojnë 1-2 muaj. Ata të cilat jetojnë disa stinë mund të flenë gjatë dimrit ose të emigrojnë drejt vendeve të ngrohta. 7. Vegjetarianët nuk konsumojnë kurrë produkte mishi: vegjetarianët mund t’i ndajmë në nëngrupe të ndryshme. Ka grupe vegjetarianësh të cilët konsumojnë peshk, mish shpendësh, vezë dhe produkte bulmeti. 8. Kujtesa e peshkut zgjat disa sekonda: peshku Japonez ka një kujtesë e cila mund të rezistojë deri të paktën tre muaj. 9. Amerika e ka marrë emrin nga Amerigo Vespuçi: Emri Amerikë nuk vjen nga tregtari dhe hartuesi italian Amerigo Vespuçi por nga një tregtar i pasur nga Bristol, Richard Ameryk. Ameryk ishte krye-financieri i Xhon Kabot gjatë udhëtimit të tij të dytë transatlantik. Në maj të vitit 1497 Kabot arriti në Labrador me anë të një anijeje të vogël dhe ishte evropiani i parë i cili shkeli në tokën amerikane dy vjet para Vespuçit. 10. Strucët fusin kokën në rërë kur frikësohen: strucët femra ndonjëherë shtrihen në tokë duke hapur dhe krahët dhe përpiqen të mbrojnë të vegjlit e tyre nga nxehtësia e fortë e diellit. Krahas kësaj kur pushojnë strucët qëndrojnë në këtë pozicion për të qetësuar muskujt e qafës, por asnjëherë nuk fusin kokën në rërë. 11. Kameleonët ndryshojnë ngjyrë kur ndihen të rrezikuar: arsyeja e ndryshimit të ngjyrës së kameleonëve është të impresionojnë gjininë tjetër ose mund të jetë për shkak të ekuilibrimit të nxehtësisë së trupit. 12. Nëse hani shumë sheqer sëmureni nga diabeti: marrja e tepërt e sheqerit nuk ka asnjë lidhje me sëmundjen e diabetit. 13. Rio De Zhaniero është kryeqyteti i Brazilit: Kryeqyteti i Brazilit është Brazilia (ngatërrohet me qytetet më të mëdha si Rio De Janeiro dhe San Paolo).
